   I have always been an animal lover and over the years have become more focused on small animals, pet grooming, and designer cats. I had my first litter of hedgehogs at the young age of fourteen and fell in love with the process and my passion for breeding beautiful exotic creatures had begun! After the first litter of hedgehogs, I moved into breeding with pedigrees to ensure healthy, happy, lineage tracked animals.

   Peter’s Exotic Creations specializes in hedgehogs with darker colors and masks along proper structure and disposition. I pride myself on being a smaller breeder, only having a few litters at a time to ensure each baby is handled daily and is being properly socialized prior to joining their new families. Peter’s Exotic Creations is recognized by the NAHHI (North American Hedgehog Herd Initials).

   After high school, I completed a Certified Veterinary Assistant program at Heartland Community College and worked at a local animal hospital where I acquired my first cat, Esmeralda.  Soon after, I left the field of veterinary medicine to pursue an education and career in pet grooming. I acquired my first Exotic Shorthair kitten as a graduation present for myself.  After graduating from the grooming academy, I opened Park 'N' Bark, my mobile grooming company. In this time I also fell so in love with Exotic Shorthairs so much that I decided to expand the breeding. In addition to African pygmy hedgehogs, I now breed these lovely designer cats. Exotic Shorthairs are also known as “the lazy man’s Persian” because of their sweet affectionate, Persian-like nature and face without the added maintenance of the the long Persian coat. I focus on producing kittens with proper airways, palates, and natural colors all while maintaining the CFA breed standard.
